Who Said that Murder is Not Art comes in with a thrash metal feel, and, as the keyboards enter, takes on a slight Children of Bodom, or even Dream Theater, sensibility. I really dig the movement of the guitars here, and the way it is all arranged. Vocally, every track on this album is absolutely incredible. The extreme vocals aren’t boring, they change with the music to keep things interesting, and the clean vocals, when used, are also very well done. There’s a section on the middle of this one, which was actually the first thing I heard when I found the stream, that has a really incredible Middle Eastern influence, and is just one of many very well thought out parts. Also, the keyboard solos are mind boggling!!!

I’m inclined to say this was a cohesive LP front to back. Returning to my opening statements, Deep Underground did a quality job of creating their own world through the music. This was accomplished not only in the production stage of the process, but by way of the mastering engineer’s work as well. It’s apparent that this wasn’t his first mastered project and it showed throughout the collection by the consistency between songs.

Ejecutando un muy fino Death Metal Melódico, los nacionales DEEP UNDERGROUND estrenaron este domingo Relapse, su álbum debut.

“Las letras de Relapse tocan temas psicológicos principalmente, por ejemplo, hablamos de como la interacción social y las relacionales humanas nos afectan como individuos“, nos contó Gabriel Martínez, vocalista del conjunto nacido en Alajuela en el 2011.

La construcción de este material se remonta a 2013, cuando la banda empezó a trabajar algunas canciones con el productor Marcos Monnerat, sin embargo contratiempos e inactividad los llevaron a aplazar esta tan esperada placa discográfica.
